Well, this weekend we’re planning to drive to Montana to visit with “Gramma Grape”, and of course Beanie, Auntie Kim, Poppa Jay and Gramma Dolly. I took an extra day off work next Tuesday, and will likely leave work a little early Friday so we can leave Friday evening right after I get home. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone. We haven’t been home since Mom’s retirement party, so we’re overdue for this trip!
It’s been a great week. Christmas was wonderful, and Payden has not been able to stop playing! My Mom (Denise) visited, and was able to spend Christmas with us. This was her first Christmas with Payden, and it was really wonderful. I’m so glad she was able to come out and visit.
Last night was my company Christmas party, and Payden spent the night with Maralee and Dave. He did really well, and was a very good boy for them. I think they’re now plotting a way to steal him! Tara and I had a very nice night, but this morning she was ready to get her baby boy back!
Tonight Payden abruptly stopped what he was doing mid-sentence, and looked at the TV and said “Wow, look at her! She’s pretty!” It was completely unprompted, and was absolutely hilarious. I have to say, he has shown over and over that he has good taste too! The commercial that came on was the most recent Heineken commercial where the guy gives the girl a Heineken and asks her Grandmother to dance. Check it out:
