I was unable to integrate YAF. However, there was a package which would allow a forum created on Nabble.com to be embedded on a page. So I created a forum there, and embedded it. It works pretty nicely, even though I really wanted to keep everything on my server. Oh well, I guess it will do the job!
1. Going to try to integrate Yet Another Forum into the CMS.
2. I have an image gallery package in place, but am going to try to get #1 in place first.
3. An About page.
4. A contact form.
I’m going to work on these things in the order above. Certainly I could get some finished more quickly, but I want to get it done in the order posted.
I can’t believe how long it’s been since I last posted! Well, I’m still here, and trying not to let the site go. I just wish I could get the family to stop by the site more often.
Payden turned 4 just a few days ago!!! I can’t believe he’s that old already. He’s really amazing… and stubborn!
I’m updating the site yet again to a new CMS platform. It’s a .NET based CMS called Composite C1. It’s very easy to use, stable, and fast. I found a post about how to integrate Yet Another Forum into the CMS, so I’m going to work on that over the next few days. YAF is a very robust and mature forum that I’ve used in the past, but it would be nice to have it integrate directly into the CMS and its database.
Anyway, the main reason that I’m migrating to the new platform is that I’ve found some blacklist databases that list the Joomla-based sites IP address as a known SPAM address, and I’m thinking that may be why certain domains won’t accept email from our bofusinc.com email addresses (namely Juno, for Tara’s parents). Hopefully, it will all be worth the trouble.

So for those who don’t know, Payden has his own website at paydensperspective.com. It’s a simple gallery that we upload all the pictures that have been taken with his camera. We just updated it with several new galleries. There are some pretty good pictures in there!
Well, Payden is nearly tall enough to go on kiddie rides! One more inch will get him on most of those rides that require he be 3 feet tall. He’s now 35 inches tall, and growing fast. Awesome! It won’t be long until we can take him to Disney!
