We went out for Ben & Jerry’s in Issaquah with Mom tonight. Awesome ice cream! We also drove by a house we had heard of that was supposed to have a great light show complete with music broadcast over the radio. We couldn’t find anything on the radio, and the lights were pretty static but it sure was pretty even so.

It’s always such a joy to have family and friends over for dinner, and especially so during the holidays. Yesterday reminded me of our family holidays (on Mom’s side) while growing up. The Andersons are a big family… Grammy and Grampy had 8 children, each of whom had at least 2 children of their own. At holiday gatherings we would absolutely and completely fill Grammy and Grampy’s house, top to bottom, and side to side, and it was awesome! There was always a lot of love in that house, and in all those people. I’m very lucky to have such a family.
Yesterday, we had about 18 people in the house, and it really felt like home and family growing up. Growing up all us cousins always had each other, and there are a lot of us. Looking back, the time spent with cousins especially was always the best of times. I’m really thankful we were able to have each and every one of them, and the time we had together is very precious to me. Yesterday was no exception, and I’m very glad to have been able to have everyone over for Thanksgiving. It really was awesome!
As I got onto I-5N from I-90W this morning, the sun was reflecting off the buildings in downtown Seattle and there was a light, low hanging cloud around several buildings. But the reflection off the building in the center of these shots was hitting the cloud and making some really beautiful rays flaring out from my perspective. Hopefully it came out in the pictures! I guess I’ll find out when I look at this post later (posting this from my phone).
This is what is stacked in the garage. I can stack a bit higher but didn’t have time last night.
This is what’s still in the driveway. Most of this will be moved to the back of the house, but some will get added to the stack in the garage. Thank goodness for my good friend Bajaga! I don’t think we would have even finished the splitting if he hadn’t come over to help!
