The Great Pumpkin will be happy this year!

I have to say that WordPress has been easier to use than the myriad other CMS’s I’ve tried. I have tried a lot of them, and not only .NET based, but also PHP based. The biggest boon with WordPress is simply the unbelievable plethora of community created plugins and themes, so many of which are freely available. It’s really a game changer.
I always like to do things myself, as I am a technologist and like to get my hands dirty on all levels of technology. But WordPress is just too easy to pass up. There… I said it.
I give up… I’ve converted to WordPress as my CMS/Blog engine. I really didn’t want to add PHP and MySQL to my server, as it’s a Windows server and already running MSSQL, but I bit the bullet and did it anyway. Over the years, I’ve been very impressed with many things WordPress does, and I think especially the community support it enjoys. It’s an extremely popular platform, and for good reason. So, standby as I try to get everything up to snuff one more time!
I think I’ll probably skip forums for now. If people ask for forums, I’ll add them. Otherwise, I’ll just stick to the blog and galleries… and maybe an about page and a contact form… but nothing more for the time being. I think you’ll enjoy this version of the website a lot more than previous versions, both from a visual and functional perspective.
